Epic Batrep - Death Guard 0.3.3 vs NetEA White Scars

The first batrep with the 0.3.3 release of the NetEA Death Guard list, playing against NetEA White Scars Marines.

SETUP

Paul, the White Scars player, went for diagonal deployment as he thought he'd be able to make better use of the superior speed of his troops, and one quarter had slightly less terrain.

As seen in the first photo, he placed his Blitz on the narrow end when it should probably have gone in the far corner. Knowing that I had tough formations (and the DG Terminators), I placed both far-side objectives in a triangle with his Blitz, and plotted the Spacecraft barrage to land midway between the two objectives that I'd placed (arriving on turn one), predicting that he would advance troops up behind the smaller area of buildings.

Paul garrisoned some Scouts in front of his Blitz.

I garrisoned my BTS off my Blitz into the landing field, which we were treating as scrub for infantry cover but clear for movement and line of fire. I then garrisoned the Contagion Engines and Chosen off the other objectives, with everything else around my Blitz ready to run for the triangle of enemy objectives.

I held two enemy objectives and the Blitz for two points while Paul held two normal objectives in my half. Both BTSs were not just undestroyed but unbroken, and there were unbroken enemy formations in both halves of the table.

Result, 2-1 to the Death Guard!
