Odalisque Arm Swap

Quite a long time ago I bought a bunch of Infinity Odalisques with the idea of forming a unit of them. As there are only two models available this was likely to involve some conversion work. Also the Odalisque illustration in the Human Sphere rulebook has a much better pose - seen below on the cover of the Beasts of War quick start PDF alongside the two released sculpts:

My idea was to swap the arms on the two models to end up with something like this:

Step 1 was to cut the Spitfire arm off the crouching model and then see how the arms would look on the other torso:

So far so good, but if you look closely above the right breast of the crouching model has had to be filed away to make the Boarding Shotgun fit. Below are the cut-up models held together with blu-tack, next to the 'straight' assembled models:

Now cleaned up and glued:

As you can see there's still some filling to do on the joints:

However I'm pretty happy with the positioning and the standing pose is a lot closer to the illustration considering it's a cut-n-glue job with no actual sculpting involved:

Great conversion, Ian

I did something similar with the Hassassin Ragiks, but the arm-swap in their case is much easier, being a straight and perfect swap.  When I get around to adding an Odalisque or two to my Haqq force, I have a feeling I'll be copying this idea.

Ta! Just watch out for that

Ta! Just watch out for that Boarding Shotgun arm, it's a tricky fit...
